Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi where you will be met and transferred by our Representative to a Nairobi Hotel for an overnight stay on bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Full day in Nairobi
Today, we will drive through the capital city of Nairobi to David Shedrick Wildlife Trust where young orphaned elephants are taken care of. They will be fed as you watch. They are gradually rehabilitated back into the wild elephant community of Tsavo National Park when grown.
We will proceed to Giraffe centre which was founded in a bid to save the endangered Rothschild Giraffe, which had lost its natural habitat. The centre provides an opportunity to come close to giraffes and even feed them from your hands. There is a beautiful nature trail inside the sanctuary that is ideal for relaxation and bird watching. You will enjoy lunch at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden then proceed to Karen Blixen Museum. Return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay on bed and breakfast.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, you will depart to Amboseli National Park which is popular for it’s abundance of the elephant including other animal species. Arrive at Tortilis Camp which overlooks the Africa’s highest and most majestic mountain, Kilimanjaro in time for lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drive with a backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro. Have dinner and overnight stay at a lodge/ Camp on full board basis.
Day 4: Amboseli National Park
Spend this day at Amboseli viewing game. You will have an opportunity to climb the observation hill to the vantage point where you will experience a wonderful view of the entire Amboseli plains overlooking Mt. Kilimanjaro. The Amboseli Plains inhabits large herds of elephants and other wild animals like Giraffes, Lions and Spotted Hyenas with fantastic bird life species. Have dinner and overnight stay at the Camp.
Day 5: Mount Kenya.
After early breakfast we will depart Amboseli and drive back to Nairobi for lunch at a Nairobi Hotel then proceed through the central part of Kenya rich with agricultural activities to Sweetwaters Tented Camp. You will have an opportunity to see the rare bongo antelope that inhabits mountain forests. Fine Art Gallery is also worth a visit. Have dinner and overnight stay on full board basis.
Day 6: Samburu Game Reserve
We will depart after breakfast and drive further North to Samburu Game reserve located in the semi arid land in the north Frontier District. The land is characterized by rugged terrains dominated by dramatic hills with acacia and Doum palm trees along the Ewaso Nyiro river, the lifeline of this beautiful arid lands and home to fantastic bird life and rare species of animals including Somali Ostrich, Besia Oryx, Gerenuk, gravy zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Greater Kudu. The reserve is a good place to watch elephants and the big Cats. Arrive in time for lunch followed by evening game drive. Have dinner and overnight stay at Lodge/camp on full board basis.
Day 7 & 8: Samburu Game Reserve
Have two full days in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drives. Optional activities include a visit to samburu villages. Have dinner and overnight stay at the Camp.
Day 9: Lake Nakuru National Park
We depart after breakfast to Lake Nakuru National Park with a stopover at Thompson’s falls. Proceed with the drive down the eastern wall of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure before embarking on evening game drive. Have dinner and overnight at lodge on full board basis.
Day 10: Lake Naivasha
Enjoy a morning game drive then return to the lodge/camp for full breakfast. Check out and proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving early afternoon for relaxation and dinner at the Lodge/camp.
Day 11: Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride at Lake Naivasha then proceed with your journey heading south west to Masai Mara national Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy afternoon game drive across this beautiful dotted plains of the Mara in search of large game, big cats, herbivores like Topi, hartebeest, Oribi, Grant’s and Thomson gazelle, buffalo waterbuck including vervet monkey, olive baboon as well as many other species of reptiles and amphibians. Have dinner and overnight stay at lodge/tented camp on full board basis.
Day 11: Masai Mara Game Reserve
You will have a full day with game drives in the plains of Mara. You will have picnic breakfast. Search for Hyena, Jackal and Bat eared fox including many other animals. Optional activities include Hot air balloon ride and Maasai cultural visit. Have dinner and overnight stay at the
lodge.
Three days at Masai Mara with game drives and other activities
Enjoy game drives in the Mara and spend three days with game drives. Species of animals expected includes the big five; Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo and Elephant. Game drives are flexible, with the optional visit to a local Masai village whereby you can interact with the Local people and learn of their culture and traditions.
Day 15: Nairobi
You will have breakfast then start your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy lunch on the way Hotel and relax before transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your home bound flight.
