Tsavo is 1hour 40minutes by train from Mombasa. It is famous for large herds of elephants and captivating landscapes.
DAY 1. MOMBASA TO TSAVO WEST
This day your train departs to Voi train station at 1200hrs to arrive at 1400hrs. Upon arrival at the station, the lodge staff shall be awaiting for you and transfer you to the lodge.
A welcome drink will be served upon check in and you will be given a briefing about the lodge. Enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.
Today you will explore Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary which has been established and is home to elephant, lion, oryx, lesser kudu and a wide variety of smaller animals. The varieties of animals which live in this small 110 sq. km sanctuary are often easier to spot than those in the larger Tsavo Parks. The Taita Hills Game Sanctuary also provides a safe environment to over 50 species of mammals and 300 species of birds within 28,000 acres of rolling savanna and woodland habitats.
Salt Lick Game Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains. The entire lodge is raised on stilts, providing 24-hour game viewing opportunities from any corner of the lodge.

DAY 2. TSAVO WEST
Enjoy an early morning game drive from 6:30am to 8:30am. Thereafter have breakfast at the lodge. Time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities. Have Lunch. Afternoon game drive from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Dinner and Overnight at the Saltlick Game Lodge.
DAY 3. TSAVO WEST TO MOMBASA
Enjoy an early morning game drive from 6:30am to 8:30am. Thereafter have breakfast at the lodge. On this day you shall be transferred to the Voi Station for your train departing to Mombasa at 1500hrs to arrive at 1635hrs.
